  • Description: A pathologically jealous husband, Orestis Kalligaridis (Nikos Stavridis), makes the life of his wife Rena (Maro Kontou) a living hell. The affair of their maidservant (Martha Vourtsi) with chauffeur Leandros (Mimis Fotopoulos) adds oil to the flames, but the biggest problem occurs when Rena lends her friend Anna a dress and a pair of yellow gloves. Orestis finds the yellow gloves under a table in a country coffee house where Anna had previously gone with her fiancé, and his jealousy is rekindled. Despite his best efforts, however, he doesn’t succeed in finding the two illicit lovers. He then argues intensely with Leandros, whom he thinks is his wife’s lover, and can’t believe his ears when the chauffeur asks for the hand of the maid in marriage. A series of accidents and misunderstandings weave a web of intrigue that rattles the nervous system of the jealous husband. However, things soon clear up as the innocence of the wife is proven beyond a doubt, and the jealous husband’s suspicions go into temporary remission.
